Corporeal Beast and Kalphite King!

Deep down in the underground of the wilderness a huge, terrible and dangerous beast lives and waits for somebody foolish enough to enter his chamber to challenge him. The beast devours souls to live and thrive, he is one of the most dangerous monsters on the face of Gelinor. Why you might ask would someone want to face this monster? The Corporeal Beast hoards some of the most valuable items, called sigils. This weekend, we will be facing the Corporeal Beast in hopes of some great loot. Will you join us?



Think that old beast is easy? In the southern most reaches of the desert, explorers have discovered structures that are similar to those found near the Kalphite hive. Up on closer inspection, these structures were actually made by a different kind of Kalphite, those which were exiled by the main colony and broken off into their own faction. These exiled Kalphites have their own Queen, but more fearsome than that, is that they have a King!



The Kalphite King is a different cast from the other Kalphites, he's built for war and ready to take on even the strongest and well equipped adventurers. Among his array of attacks, he can charge and knock down adventurers, release magical spheres that detonate in the area, spray ranged spikes, and finally a guillotine pincer strike that can kill any adventurer in a single hit!

Do you play RuneScape 2007?

We've seen a massive response to our old poll, Will you play RuneScape 2007. Roughly 4750 people said they would only log in to the old servers and go nowhere near the current version of the game. And yet, when you check out our 2007 Forums, all you can see is players chatting about how the old servers will die out within a month!

Where are you, 2007 lovers? I'm genuinely curious as to how we could get so many votes on the old servers option, but not see any of you shouting about the glory of 07Scape! Let us know why you voted for 2007 in the Poll Results Topic, and what makes you enjoy the game so much!

Many ages ago when combining iron ore with coal to forge steel was first discovered, warriors donned this new metal into many fierce battles against one another. Old School Quest Guides

I was digging around earlier today and actually managed to find an old backup which is from right around the time of the Old School RS servers. I know interest has been rather high among a number of players and figured I would see how much effort it would take to integrate that old content with our current site. I started with the Quest Guides.

You can now view our Old School RS Quest Guides by visiting our website, hovering over "Guides" in the navigation, and clicking "Old School Quests."

Please note that images may or may not exist, and even if they do exist, it might be of a more recent version than existed back then. This is due to how we've progressed as a website over the years. The same is true for the content of the guides; some of them are from early 2008, so it may discuss content that doesn't exist in the Old School servers.

It is unclear to us at this time how much support we want to give to the Old School RS people in our community, so at this time we aren't going to be going out and updating the guides ourselves. If you want to help update a quest guide, you are free to post in the Submissions board and we'll edit the quest as needed, but otherwise it will remain as it looks now.

I have checked and we do have backups of most, if not all, of our information from around this same time period. If the interest is high, we can consider spending time to get all that content back up, but it's really up to all of you to let us know if it's worth it. Would you really use it if we added it?

There are two ways to show your interest level in our old school content. The first is to vote in our poll (look to the right!) stating which game you'll end up playing. The second option, and one I'll give greater weight to, is by joining our Community Forums and making a post in the Old School RS Discussion Topic.
