No More Exp Weekends

Jagex has recently announced that the famous bonus experience weekends will no longer occur and are rethinking the idea completely. Obviously, many players are disappointed that they won't be receiving an experience boost in the future, but Jagex has promised they will be creating new events and rewards that will hopefully take the place of bonus experience weekends. Without a bonus experience event in the foreseeable future, it would be wise to avoid stocking up on supplies until more information is released. Conquest!

Across the vast ocean,lies a island called the Void Knight's outpost where the Void Knights are shipped out to fight pests who are invading the island. But when the Void Knight's are not defending the outpost,they can be found playing the strategic game of Conquest.



The game of conquest is a game where you must out think your opponent. To be victorious against your challenger,you must command your own troops,and command them to eliminate your opponent's troops. Those who come out on top,will be commendation points,which can be used to buy exp, summoning farmiliars, or the Void Knight's very own armour. Also, an exclusive reward is availible to only Conquest players is the void deflector.



So come join RuneHQ at the Conquest event!

Castle Wars!

The time has come for you to choose your path for the god you are willing to fight for. Will it be Zamorak or will it be Saradomin? Perhaps you will let Guthix choose your fate! Nevertheless it’s time to grab your Ring of Duelling for a good old fashioned game of capture the flag in one of Runescapes most popular mini-games: Castle Wars.



This is a safe mini-game with no requirements but the higher your combat stats are and the better equipment you have, the easier it will be to crush your enemies!

Ventrilo Karaoke Event!

Slayer becomes Social

No more lonely tasks in gloomy dungeons because now you can take your friend with you. Latest Runescape update features Social Slayer that allows you to share task with a friend. Gielinor games are also in preparation and everyone can join in (and gain some xp in the process)!

Miss_Sarah, RuneHQ's resident RuneScape expert, has set you the challenge to match whatever she does in game. Previous challenges include spelling 'Meow' on the ground in RuneScape using only sardines and making a full novite set in Dungeoneering and using it to kill the boss.

The RS Teasers are images supplied directly by Jagex and sent to us here at RuneHQ. We strive to release them to the public ASAP when we receive them. These images are for the next planned, in-game update. The "week of" is the planned release week, but please keep in mind that sometimes problems occur and an update may be pushed back a week or an update may have to happen out of order due to technical issues. Also keep in mind that RuneHQ is not a part of Jagex!

Site Redesign - Public Beta!

For a while now I've been working away on something special for everyone at RuneHQ. I wanted to give the site a fresh lick of paint and shuffle things around to make things more user-friendly in as many ways possible. I'm proud to present the current beta version of RuneHQ - now open to the public!



What does this mean for you? Faster loading times, better displayed content, and a slick new look to name a few benefits. Before the redesign goes live, we'd like you to take part in our Beta. Please comment about anything relating to the new site, whether you absolutely love it or want something changed.
