For our third Christmas Competition we want you to rewrite your favourite Christmas carol with a RuneScape theme! This can be any Christmas carol you want, you can just post lyrics or you can post a voice/video clip of yourself singing it! Or you can make it into a RS Music Video - be creative! Same rules apply as the previous competitions, be as creative as you want to as long as you follow the RuneHQ and RuneScape rules. I will be looking in particular for carols that flow smoothly from beginning to finish. Are you up for the challenge?



This competition will run from 15th December through until the end of the 21st. All participants will receive the Christmas Competition 2013 forum award and three lucky winners will receive one of the following:

• 1st – two 90 day RuneScape membership codes + 15m RSGP


• 2nd – 12 months of RuneHQ Advanced Membership


• 3rd – 50,000 RuneHQ Forum Battle GP

Winners from all three Competitions will be announced on Christmas Day so make sure you keep checking back!

Crystal Tree Hunting!

Are you tired of cutting ivys to 99? Feel like it's a bit slow? Hoping for something new to cut? Well don't you fret, crystal trees are now here on RuneScape ready to be cut! This is a great xp method if you're looking to get your 99. It's just about the same xp as ivys.. Only faster! Who could go wrong with that?!



Now, looking for the trees is another thing. Only one tree is active per world, and with 7 different locations. Join RuneHQ as we hunt these trees down, and cut them down to the tree stump!

The Bird and the Beast - World Event 2

It's here, the 2nd major event of the 6th Age is upon us. Both Armadyl and Bandos are in a huge battle to create large siege weapons! But they need your help in gathering divine energy to fuel these weapons of prodigious power, so much power that one of them will kill a God!

Armadyl Godwars!

In the third age, a cataclysmic war ravaged vast cities of Gielinor, transforming them into desolate places which we know now only as the wilderness. After the final blow from Guthix, all the followers from other Alliances were smited and Guthix left his warning in the Wilderness.



However, one place remained untouched by the inhabitants of the fifth age...



During this weekend, we embark on delving into the Godwars dungeon, past the frozen relics of the forgotten Third Age, and into the encampment of the God of Law and Righteousness.



This weekend we hope to bathe in the glory of treasures such as Armadyl armour, and the Armadyl Godsword.

Corporeal Beast!

Underneath the bone littered grounds of the wilderness lays a beast that feeds on souls. The name of it is the Corporeal Beast. This beast is one of the most dangerous and powerful creatures on RuneScape. Those who dare to challenge him are risking their life. If you die in his lair, you do not receive a gravestone. Those who are powerful enough warriors that can defeat the beast have a rare chance of receiving a huge amount of wealth from an item called sigils. Will you join us?

Harbingers of Tuska!

Airut - the harbingers of feral goddess Tuska - have arrived in the latest Runescape update. You need to be a pretty advanced Slayer to combat these creatures but the rewards might be of some interest.

There is also a significant update to Summoning skill and other tidbits, so it's better to check out the full update newspost.

Nex!

As the Godwars rages, and the factions continued to fight for control of the Godswords, there was a Zarosian general that was feared the most, which took the combined powers of Saradomin, Armadyl, Bandos and Zamorak to contain!



Nex, who's name translates to Death, is sealed away in her icy prison, waiting for someone to break the magical seal that bind her to her chamber.



She is known to drop pieces of armour of warriors that she befriended during her adventures. Torva, who single-handedly turned away a pack of ripper demons from his village. Pernix, who's agility rivalled the speeds of Nex, and of Virtus who managed to siphon enough magical energy from The Nexus to gain unimaginable magical power.
