RuneScape Game Bar

Jagex have fairly recently released what they call their Game Bar! Not being a fan of toolbars, I gave it a look a few weeks back to see just what it was capable of thinking I would remove it shortly thereafter. It turns out I haven't removed it yet and have no plans to because this this nifty little toolbar is packed full of features including:
- A list of all your friends currently online with a quick link to their Adventurers Log
- Information about any Grand Exchange offers you have running.
- Reminders about repeatable content, including when you can next play Tears of Guthix, redo the Phoenix Lair, fight Bork and the Skeletal Horror, and when you can earn more Thieves’ Guild Hanky Points.
- Quick links to the RuneScape forums, game guide and Adventurer’s Log, among others.
- An RSS feed of recent newsposts on the RuneScape website.
- A ‘Play Now’ button to quickly load up RuneScape.
- A search bar.

Ventrilo Event Channels
Because we always think about how to make our events more enjoyable for you, we are bringing this new idea to your...ears!
Indeed, now we are going to have a Ventrilo channel open during events, so we can all come and have a great time in there as well.
We have created two channels on the server:
- Events channel: The lounge where we all are to come and enjoy of a chat during events.
- Event help: Come to this channel when you require help about anything related to the on-going event, and a member of the Events Team will gladly answer back as soon as possible.
If you do not know what Ventrilo is, it is a voice communication program. A microphone is required to talk; however, if you don't have one, don't worry! You can still come and use other features such as the Ventrilo chat, or just hang out with the rest of the members inside the channels.

RuneHQ is now 7 years old!!
That's right, ladies and gentlemen! RuneHQ has turned 7!! Another wonderful year has passed by for RuneHQ, thanks to our esteemed members and staff. This site and community wouldn't be as amazing without everyone's love and support. Thank you all very much!!
Like we did last year, we're going to be hosting events every day starting this Sunday, October 10th! We will be kicking off this month's birthday events with an opening parade this Sunday! The parade will start in Lumbridge and end at Clan Wars. We'll be having a game or two, so grab some of your pals and join us this weekend full of celebration and fun!!
An announcement will be made tomorrow listing all the birthday events planned for this month, so keep an eye out for it! :)

Event #1: Stealing Creation with RS Wiki!
THIS IS IT!
Although Tip.It have indeed won the tournament, the fight is still not over! In this epic conclusion of the Fansite Tournaments, we will be fighting for honour against RS Wikia in the final venue for the Tournament -- Stealing Creation!
Every single element of skilling and PvP will be put to the test, as both fansites battle it out to control the Sacred Clay.
Stealing Creations is a safe minigame, but that shouldn't matter because you'll not need a single item, just your skills!

Event #2: Farewell to the King
This weekend see's the final event hosted by the current Events team leader, King of Alba. After next week I shall be leaving to concentrate on a lot of real life work. As it's not April you can be sure this isn't an April fools joke lol. So what are we going to do, well we are going to reign Chaos on you.
For my final event I have decided to go to the Chaos Tunnels just north of Edgeville bank in the wilderness. Where we can kill all sorts of creatures and you can even get yourself a slayer task especially for this dungeon. Just remember to come well armed and with prayer potions, not to mention food and a few other items lol.

Faster than a speeding bullet, we've added the quest guide for Gunnar's Ground to the database.
In this quick free-to-play replacement for the classic Romeo and Juliet quest you will assist the aspiring dwarf poet, Dororan, to win the girl of his dreams, and hopefully pick up some nice rewards along the way.
So sit back, take a few minutes out of your day and play through this nice little quest, and if you'd like a challenge, try to find all of the pop culture references along the way (Stayin' Alive, anyone?) and let us know about them on the forums.

Server Maintenance/Server Moves

We are moving the sites to new servers today!
Please expect to see issues for a couple of days while we perform this move. There are a lot of changes happening, new servers, updated software, database moves...etc.,etc.
Please feel free to message one of your friendly community staff members if you see issues and they are not resolved in a few hours. Please, however do not bombard us with messages immediately when you see an issue, we are also using the site and most likely are already aware of the issues.

Weekend Event - The Chase!
*Drum rolls begins, bells start ringing loudly*
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Events Team are proud to announce the return of the most popular of all RuneHQ events in the free and members worlds.
It's Theeeeeeee Chaaaaassseeee!!!!
Yes, you heard it right, the chase treasure hunt is back and it's time to get your thinking caps on. Want to get your hands on the Events Team members money and goods? Well, do ya? Then you will need to find us and claim it. Some clues will be easy, some will be hard, but you need to do it all on your own. Teams are not allowed as only one prize will be given out.
The F2P and P2P events will both start in Varrock square. I don't know who is more excited at doing this event, the ET or you :P We are really looking forward to this and we know that you will be there in numbers on both the F2P and P2P worlds. For those of you who haven't been to one of these events before, you are in for a treat. Basically, it's a game of find the ET member from a clue given at the starting point, then from that clue, you have to find the next ET member in the chain.
- Event: The Chase
- Date: Saturday, September 11th and Sunday, September 12th
- World: 55 for F2P (This event will be on Saturday)
- World: 60 for P2P (This event will be on Sunday)
- Time: Both events will start at 2pm CDT, 7pm GMT and 8pm UK time.
- Clan Chat: King of Alba
- Items required: Teleport items, maybe some run energy potions
- Items not required: Armour, Weapons.
The rules:
No-one can hide in a quest only area.
You must return to Varrock square to take part in the next hunt.
The first clue won't be given in the clan chat. So if you aren't at the start point you will miss the first clue.
