RuneHQ Event - Rogue's Den Crusade!

Dun dun dun dun, dun dun dun. Well, not quite Indiana Jones, but what you'll be doing is very similar.



The Rogues den is a devious obstacle course designed to test the limits of anyone's thieving and agility, inconspicuously hidden away under the Toad and Chicken Inn, in Burthrope. Inside, you'll be jumping spinning blades, crawling through wire and dodging falling boulders as you approach the center of the maze to retrieve your reward, however one wrong move and you're out! A smart mind will also be needed as puzzles must be solved, and stealth utilized against the guards. Those successful will be rewarded with experience as well as pieces of a Rogue costume or a Rogue's kit, useful for questers.



For those who aren't interested in the maze, there are wall safes to crack, and also a fire for anyone who enjoys a spot of cooking with a nearby bank.
The Rogue's Den activity is safe, any obstacles triggered will force you to leave the maze, rather than take damage. The wall safes however, are not safe, if that makes sense. :P

Time for next weeks teaser update. The Dwarf Lava Flow Mine will be opening for training. This update looks to provide mid-to-high level (68+) miners a new training opportunity. There is also talk of a new golden mining suit that grants 2.5% mining XP boost! Head off to the forums to discuss this latest update.

Jagex Studios has long fought against cheating in-game. This has included marcroing, botting, and real-world-trading. These activities have long been kept secret by Jagex but they have just released information on their latest bot take-down and have asked it be shared with the community.

Mod Edu reports: "Over the past 3 months Jagex’s Investigations team and Community Management departments have been taking a much more aggressive approach against macro users and have been working closely with the Player Moderator community and bot busting player groups actively removing macro users in-game LIVE. Although removing bots is serious business, that doesn’t mean that we can’t make you all take part in the action.
And this is where we send our kudos to all of you: the idea came originally from the enthusiasm of our fans and we love to say how happy we are with your dedication and passion. A lot of this energy came from our very own players who originally came up with the concept and have been performing the activity in previous years!"

Living Rock Caverns

This week we're going to be heading down to the Living rock Caverns, where the earth is alive in minerals and.. wait ... IT'S ALIVE!!



It presents an excellent opportunity for some higher-end training such as mining from the coal and gold concentrates, as well as fishing rocktail and cavefish. If that's not what you fancy, then there's also Living Rock Creatures for those who fancy a fight, who knows, maybe we'll be taking on the Living Rock Patriarch too!



Requirements:

• 77 mining for Coal Concentrates


• 80 mining for Gold Concentrates


• 85 fishing for Cavefish


• 90 fishing for Rocktail

Or if you just fancy a fight, then:

• Living Rock Protector (Level - 120)


• Living Rock Striker (Level - 140)


• Living Rock Patriarch (Level - 200)

(Requires 73 mining to mine them for living minerals)



Recommended Items:

• A Pickaxe


• A Fishing rod + Living Minerals


• Armor


• Weapons if you plan to kill

Boss Hunting Event!

This week, RuneHQ is hosting our near-monthly boss hunting event. We're feeling abit retro this month, so we're going back to our roots and taking on the Kalphite Queen in an effort to obtain the sought after Dragon chainbodyand maybe even her head!



Be warned however, the Kalphite Queen might be old content, but she's strong (if not stronger than!) as many of the other newer bosses such as those found in the Godwars Dungeon. This will be a very dangerous event, and death is more than likely, so please bring only what you're willing to lose!

Clan Support

At long last, The Clan Camp is finally here! This means you can now officially create or join a clan separate from your friends list and in the game itself. Be sure to check out the Clans section of the RuneScape manual for more information. The Clan Camp can be found just south of Falador.
